The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

I feel like I should explain why there weren't any posts last week. Chris and I have not gone to Crossfit in the last week and a half because we went to Orlando, Florida to see the grand opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We had so much fun!

The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry castle was absolutely amazing and the "Forbidden Journey" ride inside of it was as well. The technology used for the ride made it seem extremely realistic and it was, quite possibly, the best ride I have ever been on.

The details that they included inside of the castle were unbelievable.  There was everything from talking pictures to the house points score.

Hogmeade was unbelievably perfect. Every crooked chimney and stone wall was incredibly planned and executed. The butterbeer was tasty and refreshing, the treacle fudge and caldron cakes were beyond what one could imagine, and the whole place was bustling with a sense of magic and excitement.

On opening day we arrived to the park at 5:00 am. Fortunately this was early enough place us at the front of the line and be one of the first groups of guests allowed into the park. What incredible luck! We were able to see the ribbon cutting ceremony and the grand entrance of the cast from the Hogwarts Express.

Although we did skip out on our Crossfit duties it was for a good reason and we logged miles and miles walking around Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure during our week there :)
